Help us grow our endowed fund! CFSEK Match Day & National Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2009.
Donations made to our endowed fund will produce present and future annual income to help us carry out our important work. Our work includes Miners HHall Museum, Franklin Community Park and the Franklin Welcome Sign.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to grow our fund! If we receive a donation from you to our endowment fund, the Community Foundation will provide a pro-rated match, based on a percentage of total donations received!
Making a donation that goes toward our savings will help us to enrich our programs and provide an even greater impact over the years to come.
Please consider a donation to help us grow our long term savings!
Here’s how to help: (Make checks to CFSEK, writing “Miners Hall Museum” in the memo line or check our fund name on the donation form included in this post.)
• On December 3, donations can be made on-line at www.southeastkansas.org. Click the Donate Now button, select Miners Hall Museum from the drop down menu and pay by credit card or PayPal.
• Take your donation to the Community Foundation office at 100 S. Broadway, Suite 100, Pittsburg, KS (Commerce Bank Building, lower level) on or before December 3rd, or bring the donation to Miners Hall Museum, 701 S. Broadway, Franklin, KS. and we will deliver it to CFSEK on December 3rd.
• Mail a check to CFSEK, PO Box 1448, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Envelopes should be postmarked no later than December 4 to be eligible for the match.
Donations are tax deductible. Receipts will be emailed or mailed to you.

The mission of Miners Hall Museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing Southeast Kansas coal mining history and its diverse immigrant culture.
Miners Hall Museum seeks to tell the story of the importance of coal mining in Southeast Kansas. It was formed to preserve and present authentic materials and artifacts that document the history of coal mining and its impact on Southeast Kansas, as well as to be a vital partner in the educational and cultural life of this area through its collections and programs. This includes the story of the immigrants who came from the Little Balkan countries and beyond. A huge section of our population has a tie to the mining industry, and we want our young people to understand the importance of their hard work, dedication and desire to acquire a better life for their families. The museum strengthens the spirit and sense of family and community for all of Southeast Kansas while providing educational experiences for all ages, from youth to senior citizens. ...
